Marty and Liz first opened Cottage Creations in the Historic District of downtown Frankfort in August 2000, offering only Irish, and German/Austrian gift items reflecting their own families' heritage combination. In November of 2011 they moved the store back to Frankfort from their homesite in Mokena after operating as a home based business for the preceding 4 years. The property size proved to be too large to maintain coupled with the growth of the store and internet business. Their shop now offers unique home decor, garden items, embroidered & cutwork tablecloths and the Nora Fleming collection of serving ware for all occasions evolving from their original import gift items. |
